The Master GEDD (Environmental Management and Sustainable Development) program at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis recently reorganized its communication strategy, starting with the creation of a logo and a visual identity. Once the specifications were obtained, the designers embarked on the logo design process. After thorough graphic research, a dozen projects were presented to the program coordinators.
A graphic chart has been developed around the selected logo, and mock-ups have been provided for the printing of corporate stationery (business cards, letterhead paper...) as well as template files for office software (Word, PowerPoint, etc.). As the second stage of the reorganization, the Master GEDD wished for a complete overhaul of its website. Ideogram Design was chosen to successfully carry out this mission by bringing its expertise in graphic design and web development on both the client and server sides.
The developed website consists of two distinct parts: The first part, "public-facing," is a classic showcase that provides information to prospective students as well as companies interested in hiring young graduates in this promising field. To ensure that GEDD lives through its users, the content is directly editable by the students. They also have the ability to submit news articles. All modifications made by the students are, of course, validated by the teachers who are administrators of the site.
In the second part, the spirit of GEDD and its concept of group cohesion are emphasized.
It is a social network similar to Facebook, reserved for GEDD members. It allows students to share their information, enables alumni to stay in touch, and provides substantial assistance to current students in their various projects. The integrated tools make it a true technological tool fully developed in AJAX. Surveys, events, classified ads, and integration of videos from various platforms are included.
